Head Hunt or An Appropriate Use of Time?
Greetings again fellow ‘Fleeters.
I ran across yet another example of this Administration spending time trying to find excuses to deal with members that they don’t seem to like instead of expending effort on fixing this organization.
Case in point found on the Region 7 List [yes, I still read and comment on other's regions lists. I know, EVIL ME!]

Sal, Do you really need to start yet another head hunt on Scott Akers? Or anyone else for that matter?
Granted, the original message may have been a bit over the top but many parts of what were said were both true and didn’t cast the current leadership in a very positive light. We, as a group, need to grow a thicker skin and realize when you say something in an open forum most likely you are going to take some sort of flak back. Especially if you have a reputation for posting nonsensical responses on multiple topics.
Ladies and Gentleman, We have bigger fish to fry then this which I know Sal is aware of. Isn’t it time to stop hunting our own members and follow the example set by the Reboot Project by finding ways to bring us together instead of drawing lines in the sand?

Interestingly, further down the thread in Sal’s emails to EC/AB, he asked what HIS recourse, as a member of FLEET, was to deal with Scott’s unpleasant behavior.
That’s funny, because I’m pretty sure everyone told him that, as CS, people would be nasty to him.

This just shows that anything about “Members Matter” was a lie as Scott is a member.
You can’t legislate morality. History has shown this.

However, there are protections against that sort of language where minors are concerned. I would call that sort of language something that should be censured from any public forum where children or teens (I know, teens understand the vernacular, that still doesn’t make it correct for polite society) have access. It is not something that I would say amongst friends, or detractors and I was a drill sergeant in the US Army. (I am WAY more creative than simple vulgarity! It takes TALENT to make LIEUTENANT or PRIVATE sound worse than the lowest form of scum and life! LOL)
