Added: The Soundtrack of Fail
Now taking requests from the readers to be added to “The Soundtrack of Fail.” The widget is in the right column, and I made it so it does not blast when you load the page (thank the ghods) so it’ll be safe for work.
So far, we have “I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister.
Any ideas?

‘won’t be fooled again’ by the who.
‘jacob’s ladder’ (the springsteen version would be nice)
‘positively 4th street’ by dylan
‘kick out the jams’ — definitely the black flag version
‘three little pigs’ by green jelly (check out the video, it’s on youtube i’m sure)
’straight to hell’ by the clash
‘you’re so vein’ - carly simon
‘we shall overcome’ - just about any artists does a good version.
oh, and the current EC’s personal theme:
‘orgasmatron’ by motorhead (read the lyrics.)

This is a great idea and I truly enjoy this stream. If I am following the idea properly here are some perfect additions to the Soundtrack:
“I Got Friends in Low Places” - Garth Brooks
“Goodbye Earl” - Dixie Chicks (”Earl” reperesenting the Sal Pals)
“We Don’t Don’t Need No Education” - Pink Floyd
“Steppin Stone” - The Monkees
“My Way” - Framk Sinatra
As an abstract nomination to the theme song of the “Sal Pals” AND the FAIL Soundtrack is:
“I would do anything at all, but I won’t do that.” - MEATLOAF
Listen to the song and I think you all will agree with me.

Listening to the feed, I realized that I might be in a very small minority of folks that can decipher the lyrics to “Injustice System.” Therefore, here are the lyrics for those that want to follow along:
“Injustice System” - Sick Of It All
Freedom - A right I thought we had
One that no one could take away
But there are those who will try
To rule the lives that you and I choose to lead
We must fight - Injustice system
Have no rights - Injustice system
We must fight - Injustice system
Have no rights - Injustice system
There are those who change the laws
For gain and furthering their needs
A small group possesses the power
A minority dictating what’s good for the majority
Money has the real influence
Without it what we say don’t make a difference
I won’t tell you to give in
But to me there’s got to be a better way to fight for our rights
And to have our say
To choose for ourselves
And not be led around blindly on a short leash
We must fight - Injustice system
Have no rights - Injustice system
We must fight - Injustice system
Have no rights - Injustice system
Freedom - A right I’ll always have
One that no one can take away
No matter what it is they try
Because the flame of freedom burns deep down inside of me

> “Something In The Air” - Thunderclap Newman
You stumped the band. Deezer did not have this one. I am looking for it elsewhere, I can upload it to my Deezer collection and add it to the playlist. If you have this as an mp3, please email it to me and I’ll get it added.
Rob:
Country??? (groan) … OK, added!
> “Steppin Stone” - The Monkees
> “My Way” - Framk Sinatra
First of all, “Steppin’ Stone” was Paul Revere and the Raiders. Made it hard to find, but I think I have done one better on both of these. Both “My Way” and “Stepping Stone” were covered by The Sex Pistols. As I am a closet Sid Vicious fan, and to keep with the punk “thumb to the eye” theme, I went with those.
The Meat Loaf ditty did not really fit, but I am a sucker for Meat. That is one of my favorite karaoke tunes. Added!
Tony L:
Thanks for the lyrics. And, yeah, Santa would be a stalker in the modern world. Also added “Every Breath You Take” by The Police to continue the theme!
And a couple of others to spice it up:
“Come on Eileen” by Save Ferris (ska cover)
“Hungry Like the Wolf” by Rel Big Fish (ska cover)
